Kuala Kapuas, August 31, 2023 - In commemoration of the 78th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Turangga Resources organized a series of educational competitions aimed at celebrating the spirit of nationalism and providing a platform for the students of Kapuas Regency to showcase their talents. The event took place at Taman Askari, Trans Kalimantan Street and was officially opened by the Secretary of Kapuas, Drs. Septedy, M.Si., representing the Acting Regent of Kapuas, Drs. HM Nafiah Ibnor, M.M.
He expressed his hope that not only Turangga Resources but also other companies would carry out activities that focus on the character development of the younger generation, who are the hope and future of Indonesia.
The event spanned two days, from August 29th to 30th, 2023, and saw the participation of a total of 370 children and students from various districts within Kapuas Regency, including Selat, Basarang, Kapuas Hilir, Kapuas Tengah, Kapuas Murung, Kapuas Timur, and Kapuas Hulu.
With the theme "Indonesian Youth Advancing Towards a Golden Indonesia," this competition aimed to instill a sense of nationalism from a young age, strengthen unity in celebrating independence, and nurture nationalistic and patriotic values. Furthermore, the competition aimed to boost self-confidence, cultivate resilience, honesty, competitiveness, and sportsmanship among the participants, with the hope that they will become future leaders of a prosperous and remarkable Indonesia.
The competitions included coloring contests for early childhood education (PAUD) and kindergarten students, drawing contests and poster-making for elementary school students, solo vocal competitions, group vocal competitions, and a fashion show for participants ranging from PAUD to high school (SMA). The judges, who assessed the competitions, came from Kuala Kapuas, Palangkaraya, and Banjarmasin, ensuring that the competition was conducted fairly and with integrity.
Turangga Resources remains committed to supporting the development of Indonesia's young generation and providing them with opportunities to excel in various fields. With events like these, it is hoped that more Indonesian children will emerge as future leaders who contribute positively to the nation and its progress.
